Heat Sink

What is heat sink?
Why we need heat sink?
How it look like?

A few people I ask about this and the answer is because senior tell about it and other. The main I want to tell they don't know why they want use it actually. They just follow what other say. First let me say about the function heat sink itself.

A heat sink is a term for a component or assembly that transfers heat generated within a solid material to a fluid medium, such as air or a liquid.

This is heat sink

This use at voltage regulator 7805 one of them. This b'coz this IC was become heat during voltage conversion. To faster heat transfer we use heat sink to avoid this IC broken b'coz of overheated.
